Tangentiality

K-chan asked me the meaning of a French word and I thought whom better to answer that than Choco who’s taking some French lessons. So I texted Choco.

Me: Choco, what does ‘chevalier’ mean? Is that French?

Choco: Yup, it is. Brave? Parang ‘chivalry’ sa English.

Me: But it’s not ‘knight’ is it? : )

Choco: I’m not sure…sounds like ‘cavalier’. Nakakalito! : )

Me: Oh, okay. Thanks!

It was suppose to end there. It’s a so-so text until…

Choco: Hehe, sino naman “knight in shining armor”?!

Where did that come from?! @_@

Me: Sira! Friend ko nagtatanong—sa sobrang ka-praningan ko siguro sa World Cup team ko…Hehe. : )

Choco: Ah, ok! So Zizou nga knight mo! LOLOL! French fever!

The last thing I needed was to rave about football at this point so…

Me: Darn it, Choco. Don’t even get me started worshipping this guy again. I just saw one of his games of last year and his football skills just made me overlook his recent headbutt : D

Choco: Hehe, love is not blind, it sees clearly…and because it sees clearly, it chooses to see LESS! Wahahaha!

I almost fell off my seat.

Me: Dude, are you on drugs right now?! It’s uncanny to see you (of all people!) quoting like that!

Choco: Sabi na nga ba!?! LOL! It’s the…blasted weather. : )

Uh-huh. It’s always the weather. ^_~
