Snoopy
One of our present pets—a mutt with really cute Chinese eyes. She’s very sweet but her size doesn’t really show it. She’s the biggest among the present dogs, quite fierce, except during New Year’s Eve. I would usually go near her dog house and she would come near and start asking for a hug. She likes hugging people’s legs (no, not humping on them). She’s the alpha female of the guard dogs.
Yuri
Another mutt who is very, very playful to the point that she will unintentionally leave playful bite marks. I’m usually more cautious with her given her temperament but I just find it amazing that her fur can withstand dirt and does not appear dirty at all. I guess that’s might as well, since it’s a bit challenging to give her a bath.
Chibi
Her name was suppose to mean ‘small’ because that’s what she was when she came to us. We just didn’t expect her to grow that long. Chibi operationally defines ‘puppy eyes’ because it’s already her default look. She’s the only dog who cannot make her ears stand up (she’s part Basset Hound) and her bark could be mistaken for a large dog. She is close with Pochi.
Pochi
The current pet that resides inside the house. He is part poodle and part Japanese Spitz and the smallest among the pets. He’s the only one who can climb the stairs and knock on our rooms whenever he’s alone in the living room. He practically mini-pees in every corner of the house and the garage as a territorial sign. He can be a diva during feeding and bath time, too. He likes the yogurt drinks I take every morning.
These are other people’s pet that I’ve met along the way:
Charlotte
Pet of tennifriends MFet and Solar. She comes in two varieties, the fur-less and the fur-full. This was taken during fur-full season, which was why her eyes are under there somewhere. She is the friendliest dog I have ever met. I was told she’s like this to everyone, as if she’s been a friend with everyone for a long time.
Chuckie
I’ve met Chuckie in Megamall during a dog show. I’d remember him because when I was petting him, he took the paperbag I was holding and gave it to his owner. Turns out he was trained to do that. I got my bag back, with some drool on the handle.
Nairobi
Also met in Megamall. Didn’t know much about him(?) except that s/he fits on the chest pocket of his/her owner. The owner was actually cute.
Anonymous
This dog was part of the dog show also in Megamall. He kind of reminded me of Pochi that’s why I took a photo. If I recall correctly, the dog was wearing clothes, diapers and shoes.
In Memoriam:
These were our pets that I was able to use my camphone with. They have their own quirks and will always be a part of the family.
Sashimi v.2
Sashimi v.2 was the last of our pure bred Japanese Spitz pet. He was Version 2 because he was named after his mother, who died giving birth to him through caesarian section. He was the more fiercer dog we had, being male, I suppose. He was also the first and only dog to literally grab my hand in a serious bite mode BUT without leaving any bite marks. Even I was surprised myself because the bite did not felt playful at all. He died of illness, and was put to sleep at our house. He was buried in the same lot with his mother, Sashimi v1, father Omi and sister Sushi.
Yotan
Yotan came from a long line of cats. What made Yotan extraordinary was when he had to start living next door after our house was renovated. Since there was no room for him to roam around and the walls were high giving him less freedom, he settled on the lot next door. The funny thing was he would come back home, meowing his usual meow tone during breakfast, lunch and dinner. I kid you not. We got accustomed to leaving him some food because we know he’d come to eat at the house, rest a bit and meow back signaling that he will head out again. After he stopped coming home for a month, we concluded that he’s probably MIA already.

Chibi reminds me a lot of my Kikku. Dogs give me such fascination and joy for some weird reason. I enjoy the connection I have with them :) Iba talaga eh :)
@ p-chan: I know what you mean. sometimes i think i'm a dog in my past life and i have this delusion that i connect with them. hehehe.
